FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Chairman Forster joins Advisory Board2005 General AssemblyOctober 27, 2005 -- Ringgold, GA – Representative Ronald L. Forster (Ringgold-R), has accepted a position on the Legislative Advisory Board of the Heartland Institute, headquartered in Chicago Illinois. In the Georgia General Assembly he serves as Chairman of Interstate Cooperation, Forster is also the Secretary on the Public Utility & Telecommunications Committee, a member of the Appropriations (Econ Dev) Committee, and a member of the Insurance Committee. Rep. Forster, with a Masters of Science in Public Policy (Econ Dev) from the Georgia Institute of Technology, will advise the Heartland Institute on topics to address and serve as a source for the think tank’s scholars and reporters. Heartland Legislative Advisors also submit essays and news reports for heartland publications, meet with counterparts from other states at seminars and conferences, and receive priority treatment for their research requests. “I am please to be able to better represent the concerns of the people in Northwest Georgia through common sense research. Researching the issues we are facing to provide factual based answers that are most frequently offered from the Heartland Institute – not knee jerk reactions,” Forster said.
