A.    I believe in...

I. GOD - I feel that with all the intricacies of what is required for life on our planet, the complex operations of the human body, and the amazing way we coexist with the many animal species, I must conclude that there is a great creator. With the evidence shown to me throughout history, I have further concluded that of all the religious leaders - the truth from Jesus Christ reigns supreme. This is the foundation of my existence.

II. FAMILY - Through the teachings of the Bible, and studies of psychologist, it is proven that a sincere love from family relationships builds healthy character in each and every one of us. A strong/caring father matched with a nurturing/loving mother most always results in moral and trustworthy children/adults that are the building blocks of a stable society.

III. COUNTRY - Having established a strong and independent country, I believe that everyone that resides in and desires to live with that country's successes should be willing to fight for that country against all enemies that would try and forcefully take the assets it has developed. I believe that with freedoms given, personal responsibilities are required to continue having those freedoms. Anyone who violates those moral and reasonable laws, developed for a stable society, must have their freedoms reduced or removed. Because 'Freedom is earned, it is not just a right'.

IV. BUSINESS - Productivity comes from people who understand that we must work to succeed. Developing business which produce quality products and services promotes a strong economy, and with the proper allocation of income - to God, family and others - will develop the necessary infrastructure to take care of many communities of families; therefore, completing the structure for a strong and independent country.

B.   With the current condition of our state, I would desire to...

I.  REDUCE GOVERNMENT AND REMAIN TRUE TO THE CONSTITUTION - Those who sought to escape the restrictions and control of uncaring governing rulers founded our country. Through the Declaration of Independence and development of a Constitution they meant to ensure that type of governmental control did not happen again. Now over 200 years later that very type of government is beginning to form. I see a future of socialism in our country if some of the laws enacted over the last few decades are not removed in the next decade. We need to keep our country as our forefathers dreamed it to be, a land governed by the people.

II.  LOWER TAXES - To lower taxes we must all understand that several programs funded "by the government" (our taxes) must be stopped. Also many government jobs must be converted to the private sector, reassigned or reduced. I believe that through the media or the Internet the people should be informed of how every dollar of our taxes are spent; this will help us all understand how our tax money has been incredibly mismanaged and where to redirect funds for proper allocation.

III.  FOCUS ON EDUCATION - Providing the opportunity of a quality education to every willing citizen of our county and state is our goal. We need to educate our children with staff, facilities, and programs that interest, encourage, and improve their cognitive abilities. School reform for improving our educational structure should be developed and refined by those in our school systems that have the first hand knowledge of where our attentions should be focused.

IV.  STOP NEEDLESS ABORTION - Abortion on demand is an atrocity. The scars that remain on the women that have endured this experience are terribly evident. I believe that killing children for convenience is the underlying theme. Abortion on demand just because a woman doesn't want to be pregnant makes the same mistake as Susan Smith. Susan Smith strapped her two children in the back seat of her car and drove it into a lake, killing her own babies due to her boyfriend's mention of leaving her because she had children.

V.  MAINTAIN A STRONG MILITARY - The threat of war from other radical societies are only suppressed and prevented by their understanding of severe retaliation and swift defeat from our country. State militias have been an important factor in recent confrontations. The United States has been a global peacekeeper in this manner for about the last century, let us keep it that way.

VI.  PROTECT OUR ENVIRONMENT- As children we may have littered and not considered the impact on our environment. As an adult it disturbs me to see another 'adult' throw trash out their car window. I want to enforce fines on persons who do not act responsibly with litter, and on those businesses that are not making conservative decisions with waste. We should have several areas in our county for recycling drop off to reduce the amount of trash to the landfill. A clean environment must be a high priority in our pursuit of a better community.

VII.  USE CONSERVATIVE PRINCIPLES FOR LEGISLATION  - During my campaign I stated that I would always try to base my votes on legislation subject to the "Five Way Test":

1.  Will it decrease the size of State Government?
2.  Will it decrease the tax burden on the people?
3.  Will it give the citizens more personal freedom?
4.  Will it give the citizens more personal responsibility?
5.  Will it encourage and empower the family?

Understand that in some bills there will be so much positive or negative that I must vote for or against the bill without all of the five conservative principles being answered 'yes'.
