Ron Forster was born in Fort Oglethorpe, GA at the Hutcheson
Medical Center on the August 4th 1964. Ron has lived in Catoosa
County all but nine years. Ron attended Cloud
Springs Elementary, Lakeview Jr. High School,
and graduated from Lakeview/Ft. Oglethorpe High School in 1982. Received an A.A.
in Business Administration from City
Colleges of Chicago. Completed a B.S. in Education, Training and Development (Vocational Studies) from Southern
Illinois University. And finished his M.S. in Public Policy with a concentration in Economic Development from
Georgia
Institute of Technology's Ivan Allen College school of Public Policy.

Ron honorably served in the United
States Navy in the Nuclear Power field for eight years. Qualified as the Nuclear Plant Supervisor while onboard a nuclear
powered ballistic missile submarine. He received five patrol pins, submarine qualification, sea service ribbon, two good conduct medals, and
a desert storm ribbon for being in the military during that campaign.
Ron has rejoined the military by receiving a commission as an
Officer in the Air Force Reserve Command's Medical Service Corps. He
has been assigned to the 94th Air Wing Aeromedical Staging Squadron at Dobbins
Air Reserve Base in Marietta, GA. |

While in the Navy, Ron married Yvette Powell from Stone Mountain GA in
1986. They moved back to Catoosa
County in 1991. They have two children - Roxanne and Ryan.
Ron is currently a management/training business consultant. He was previously the Regional Manager for an engineering consulting firm for
nuclear and other industry & businesses. He owns a home-based sole proprietor marketing business. Ron has been the key speaker for a meeting
of every branch of the Chattanooga Chamber of Commerce. |

Ron is a member of the Ringgold
Kiwanis. He has volunteered as a coach in the Boynton Recreation Association to assist in the development of area
children, including his own. Ron was a part in the building of Boynton's playground. Ron is a substitute teacher for Catoosa county schools. He has
also provided merit badge training for the Boy Scouts. Ron has supported
the Republican Party nominee in each presidential
election since he has been eligible to vote. |
